The teen was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Dai'meon Allen.
"We need answers, we just need answers. My baby was in the wrong place at the wrong time," the boy's mother said.
"It hurts that I'm never going to hear his voice or his laugh or just, in general, I'm not going to be around him again," a cousin said.
The investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
Police say the shooting happened around 4:15 p.m. at Kaighn and Haddon Avenues.
It's not clear if the shootings in the city's Fairview section are connected.
