The Philadelphia 76ers pushed back the Brooklyn Nets in a 121-101 Game 1 victory.
Shake Milton scored 20 points as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Brooklyn Nets, 134-105, before the teams face each other next weekend in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
76ers: Jalen McDaniels, acquired from Charlotte at the deadline, had five points in 16 minutes. Harden will face a former team in the next game, too. The 76ers host Houston on Monday.
Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 27 points, and Joel Embiid had 26. Harden added 23.
Tobias Harris scored 24 points and a spirited Sixers team playing without Joel Embiid and James Harden spoiled Ben Simmons' homecoming with a 115-106 win over the Nets.
Yup, Ben Simmons got booed.
Like it or not, Simmons is in for much worse than a scornful scowl from jilted Philly fans when he returns Tuesday with the Nets to play the Sixers for the first time since a February trade.
The shoe giant announced it will halt its relationship with Irving, who has been suspended by the Nets for what the team called a repeated failure to "unequivocally say he has no antisemitic beliefs."
A trade request that jolted the franchise and dominated NBA headlines has been removed.
