Wounded Warriors In Lehigh Valley Saturday, To Host Kids Camp This Summer In California
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Sometimes sports is just an avenue for things far more important in life.
Thanks to the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team, who will be playing at Patriots Park in Allentown on Saturday, May 16th, children with a missing limb have the opportunity to show off their softball skills every summer.
The nationally rotating annual WWAST Kids Camp will be help this year in Mission Viejo, California from June 8th to June 13th. The WWAST will serve as coaches and mentors for amputee children all over the country ages eight to twelve, learning to play softball while meeting fellow amputees.
Their mission is to, "To inspire and educate others while enhancing the health and welfare of Wounded Warrior Amputees."
The incredible WWAST team travels around the country competing against able-bodied teams and uses, "Life Without a Limb is Limitless," as their inspirational motto.
