It has been one year since a masked gunman drove up to Oheka Castle, got out of his SUV, pressed a gun against the driver side window of Melius' car and opened fire.
Suffolk County Police have released surveillance images of a vehicle they said was used by the gunman in the February shooting of Oheka Castle owner Gary Melius.
No arrests have been made in the Feb. 24 shooting at the lavish Huntington estate and authorities won't speak publicly about any possible leads or suspects.
The 69-year-old developer and major political donor was in his Mercedes-Benz in the Gold Coast estate's parking lot when a masked gunman shot him once in the head on Feb. 24.
Gary Melius, 69, was getting into his car at the valet area of the Gold Coast estate when he was shot at point blank range in the head around 12:30 p.m. last Monday.
Gary Melius had accused his partner at Interceptor Ignition Interlocks of mismanagement and financial improprieties. Just days before the shooting, Melius had reportedly planned to name new directors at that company.
Surveillance video shows a black sedan followed by a Jeep Cherokee pulling into a valet area outside of the Huntington estate on Monday afternoon.
A Suffolk County police spokeswoman says no suspects have been identified in Monday's shooting of 69-year-old Gary Melius.
Gary Melius said in a statement Tuesday that he is looking forward to coming home and getting back to work.
