When we learned that Boomer had been voted the No. 1 on a list of the 25 most buzz worthy New York media members, great pride was felt throughout the Morning Show staff.
Boomer's old pass-catching mate Cris Collinsworth found time in his very busy schedule to join Boomer & Craig for a few minutes on Thursday.
Craig engaged in a bit of a Twitter bidding war with Dominique over the weekend for the rights to a pretty rare piece of Boomer memorabilia.
Normally Craig is the member of the show that is guilty of name dropping, but a few days back Boomer got caught up in the craze when asked abut some of the famous people saved in his cellular phone.
Craig was very pleased to learn that he and Boomer made a pretty exclusive list, as far as New York media personalities are concerned.
After Boomer & Craig spent the majority of the open talking about Rex Ryan doing what Rex Ryan does, Jerry provided audio of the comments, as well as the response from Chargers head coach Norv Turner.
When asked how things would have turned out had he been hired by the San Diego Chargers back in 2007 rather than Norv Turner (who still currently holds the position), Rex just couldn't help himself.
That's right, Boomer & Carton had it first.
Allen Craig pinch-hit for ace Chris Carpenter and delivered a go-ahead single that sent the St. Louis Cardinals past the Texas Rangers 3-2 on Wednesday night in the World Series opener.
The completed work includes new lower-bowl seating area, expanded concourse, new locker rooms and the new Delta Sky360 Club.
The Yankees have declined a $4 million option on Damaso Marte, making the injured left-hander eligible for free agency.
Antrel Rolle admits the Giants haven't been great. But they also haven't been bad. And if not for a few plays, he says, New York "should easily be 5-1."
Jesse Spector, national hockey writer for Sporting News, joined Neil Keefe to talk about the Rangers, Devils and Islanders and to look around the league at the realignment issue.
The Rangers' victory over the Canucks was their first in the city of Vancouver since October 1997. Their inspired third period play against the defending Western Conference champions is a huge step in the right direction.
