NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Falling rocks did some damage on Manhattan's West Side.

At least two rocks came crashing down Friday near 57th Street and Eighth Avenue, police said.

A car and a newsstand were damaged.

Police are investigating whether the rocks fell from a construction site or were thrown by someone.
