Trader Joe's Recalls Some Hummus Products Due To Listeria Concerns
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Trader Joe's announced a recall of some of its hummus products due to listeria concerns.
The company is recalling its Mediterranean Hummus and White Bean & Basil Hummus with use by dates up to and including 12/15/16 and plant identification code "C."
The SKU numbers are 90642 and 91107. The recalled Mediterranean Hummus was sold in AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, LA, NC, NM, NV, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA and WA. The White Bean and Basil Hummus was sold in AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX UT, VA, WA and WI.
The company said it has removed all the affected products from its shelves and destroyed them.
Products with plant identification code "J" are not part of the recall, since they were produced at a different facility.
