Catch A Glimpse Of The Total Lunar Eclipse!

LYNDHURST, NJ (AP) - Night owls in northern New Jersey can get a close glimpse of the first total lunar eclipse in nearly three years.

The Meadowlands Commission's McDowell Observatory in Lyndhurst will open its doors at 11:30 p.m. Monday.

The Jersey Journal reports visitors will view the eclipse through the observatory's 20-inch-diameter telescope.

The total eclipse is set to happen at 3:17 a.m. Tuesday.

The program will be canceled if the sky becomes cloudy. Weather updates are available by calling 201-460-8300.
