Suozzi's Democratic Primary Win Sets Up Rematch With Nassau County Exec Mangano
MINEOLA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Former two-term Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi won the Democratic primary to get his old job back.
With 99 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday, he won 58 percent of the vote to defeat businessman and Roslyn School Board member Adam Haber.

The win sets up a rematch with Republican Edward Mangano who beat Suozzi fours years ago by less than 400 votes.
Hofstra University political analyst Lawrence Levy believes the rematch will be the "race to watch" in November.
"Nassau County is America's first suburb so this is one to watch for everybody even around the country," Levy told WCBS 880's Mike Xirinachs. "It should be what we used to call barn burner -- tough, possibly nasty race."
In Suffolk County, three-time incumbent District Attorney Thomas Spota defeated attorney Raymond Perini in a Republican primary challenge. Spota won 56 percent of the vote.
Spota is also running as a Democrat.
He won a court fight this summer over term limits. A state court ruled the DA's office is not subject to a county term limits law.
