Teixeira Leaves Game Against White Sox
(AP) First baseman Mark Teixeira has left the New York Yankees' game against the Chicago White Sox after two innings.
Teixeira fielded Gordon Beckham's routine grounder and slowly stepped on first base for the final out of the second. Curtis Granderson hit for Teixeira in the top of the third.
It was unclear why Teixeira departed.
Teixeira, who was 0 for 2 Saturday, came into the game hitting .258 with 28 homers and 91 RBIs in 126 games.
