Teenager Charged With Second-Degree Murder In Fatal Sleepy Hollow Stabbing
SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A teenager has been charged in the stabbing death of a classmate at a suburban New York park.
Berinzon Moronta, of Tarrytown, was arraigned Tuesday on second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the Journal News.
Moronta is accused of stabbing Tahj Robinson multiple times inside Barnhardt Park in Sleepy Hollow on Oct. 9. The park is a popular hangout for local teens.
Moronta has been held in jail since his arrest in October. He was ordered held without bail following arraignment.
So far, the motive for the stabbing remains unclear.
