NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It was back to a Manhattan court Friday for the woman who climbed the base of the Statue of Liberty on July 4.

Therese Patricia Okoumou appeared at a pre-trial hearing before a federal judge.

She has pleaded not guilty to three federal misdemeanor charges for the climb. She said she was protesting President Donald Trump's immigration policy.

If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of six months in prison and a fine.
