Signal Issue Triggers Evening Rush Delays On All NJ TRANSIT Trains

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- All NJ TRANSIT trains in and out of New York City experienced delays of up to an hour due to signal issues Tuesday afternoon.

According to NJ TRANSIT's official Twitter account, the signal issues began around 5:30 p.m., right at the start of rush hour.

The agency announced all rail tickets and passes were being cross-honored on buses departing from Port Authority Bus Terminal and on PATH service out of New York.

By the evening hours, trains were arriving and departing from Penn Station on or close to schedule, but there were delays in trains already en route, the agency said.
