Safe Stolen From NJ Man's Home
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Police said someone stole a safe containing $15,000 cash from a New Jersey man's home while he was in the hospital.
The Jersey City resident's 77-year-old brother was keeping an eye on the home.
Police said he last saw the safe around midnight Friday. But he found pry marks on the bedroom door and the safe was missing at 8 a.m. Sunday.
The Jersey Journal reported the victim told police the safe also contained jewelry and other documents.
