Get a taste of old New York at The Fillmore Room, located directly across from the Highline. Chef/Owner Liran Mezan has created a menu that starts with snacks & shareables and ends with decadent desserts. The Veal Ricotta Meatballs are unreal; and it's hard to go wrong with Brussels sprout salad with duck prosciutto, crisped quinoa and pomegranate. Nosh on the juicy Fillmore Burger with Worcestershire onions, bacon marmalade, and Roquefort (you can also add an egg for $3), or enjoy the Brown Butter Brooke Trout with tricolor market cauliflower for dinner. Relish a pre-dinner flight of American whiskey or sip on one of their specialty cocktails before sitting down at your table. The atmosphere is reminiscent of another time, with luminescent tin ceiling tiles, exposed beams, brick walls and deco lighting fixtures.

It's pretty impossible not to stop by Artichoke Pizza for a slice on your way to The High Line. This thick, doughy slice of saucy artichoke pizza is worth the calories – it's made with artichoke hearts, spinach, cream sauce, mozzarella and Pecorino Romano cheese. It's perfectly crunchy and will leave you full for hours while you enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park. But that's not all this pizza joint is serving. They also serve an entire non-pizza menu that ranges from a stuffed artichoke with seasoned breadcrumbs, parsley, and pignoli nuts to a meatballs and ricotta dish. But if you're looking for another epic pizza option, try the Staten Island pie with meatballs cooked tomato sauce, red onions and ricotta cheese.

You may be familiar with Forager's Market, but did you know that you can also dine at their Chelsea location? Chef Nickolas Martinez is busy creating seasonal dishes in their open kitchen that include tasty options like Octopus Carpaccio with lemon yuzu vinaigrette, red shiso, chive and black sesame; to King Crab Salad with tarragon, snow peas, mint, cilantro, celeriac and American caviar. Their farm-to-table menu is filled with flavor and it's hard to go wrong with any item on the menu. If you're looking for a starter to share, the deviled Foragers Farm eggs with dijon mustard and sherry vinegar is a great option; as is "The Cheese Stands Alone" (a daily selection of two, three, four or six cheeses). Enjoy fresh seafood like Skate a la Placha with red quinoa, creamed kale, and Cippolini onion or a Butcher's Cut with piquillo relish, garlic soy glaze, wok greens, and potato soufflé. You'll taste the difference when dining here, thanks to the simple, organic and locally sourced ingredients used to create dynamic New American dishes.
