Reba Commands the Stage at the ACMs, Proves She's Still the Queen

If you ever had any questions whether Reba was still the Queen of Country Music, put them to rest right now. Because the second she took the stage at the 50th ACM Awards, she owned it.

The Oklahoma native has nearly four decades of material at her back, so fittingly she kicked things off with a medley that highlighted three of her biggest hits: Her 1992 hit "Is There Life Out There?,"  her cover of the 1972 hit "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" and the song for which she may be best known today, her impressive, high-energy reworking of Bobbie Gentry's classic song "Fancy."

But her appearance wasn't all about her past achievements, as impressive as they are. Reba has a new album out, after all, and so she segued from the medley straight into "Going Out Like That," her current single and the first song from her brand-new album Love Somebody, which hit stores just this past week.

To her credit, in her ACM performance the new single fit right in alongside Reba's previous hits. She was able to shift from 1991 ("Fancy") on up to 2015 in a heartbeat, and the whole crowd was right there with her, waving hands and singing along.
