Suspect Arrested For Allegedly Grabbing Child At Queens Playground

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A suspect has been arrested for allegedly grabbing an 8-year-old boy at a park in Queens.

Zuomin Wang, 60, is charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, police said.

The incident happened back on July 14 at the Bowne Playground on the corner of Sanford Avenue and Union street.

Police said Wang picked up the boy, grabbed him by the chest and squeezed him. The boy's mother was there and she was able to snap cellphone pictures of the suspect, who police said had a toddler-aged girl with him.

At the time of the incident, City Councilman Peter Koo (D-20th) said his office had spoken with police about stepping up patrols around Bowne Playground and others in the area.
