Police Search For Assailants In Deadly Queens Attack

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday continued to search for suspects in an attack in Richmond Hill, Queens, that left a man dead and a teenage boy injured.

The attack happened around 3:30 p.m. this past Wednesday in front of 126-19 Jamaica Ave. in Queens, police said.

Jose Rubio, 32, of Queens, was stabbed in the back and killed in the attack. A 17-year-old boy was hit in the shoulder with a rock.

Rubio was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The teenage boy refused medical attention at the scene.

Police said the victims were walking past the Jamaica Avenue site, when a group of males attacked them.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there had been no arrests and the investigation continued.
