Police: Man Molested 12-Year-Old Girl On Brooklyn Street

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have asked the public to help them find a suspect who allegedly sexually abused a 12-year-old girl as she walked her dog in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn.

Around 9:30 a.m. this past Wednesday, the girl was walking her dog near Arlington and Hale avenues in Brooklyn, when the suspect came up to her, police said.

He grabbed the girl from behind, kissed her cheek, and sexually abused her before fleeing, police said.

The girl was not injured.

The suspect was described as being a white male between the ages of 18 and 24, standing about 6 feet tall.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
