Police Search For Driver In Paramus Hit-And-Run
PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — The search continues for an alleged hit-and-run driver who police said slammed into a 20-year-old woman in Paramus Tuesday night.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on Route 17 north near the Ridgewood Avenue exit.
Police said she was either walking along the roadway or trying to cross it when she was hit by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.
The woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with severe or critical injuries.
Police said they are looking for a black Toyota sport utility vehicle with front fender damage and damage to the right side mirror.
