On WFAN: Yankees' Joe Girardi Previews Playoffs
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Joe Girardi, manager of the New York Yankees, joined Mike Francesa to preview the Bombers' ALDS match up against the Minnesota Twins.
"It is an accomplishment. We were in a tough eastern division, we won 95 games. I'm proud of how our guys played all year long," Girardi said. "Now there's only eight [teams left], and we know what the goal is."

The Yankees announced their postseason roster on Tuesday. Girardi said his roster decisions were difficult, especially the move to go with a 3-man rotation.
"They weren't easy. There was some debate," said Girardi. "We're prepared to only go with three starters, but what if somebody gets injured?"
Despite being bumped from the rotation, Girardi still has confidence in Burnett.
"I have no fears about using him out of the bullpen."
