CBS2 12/28 Monday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta

Good Evening!

A cold, mean twenty degree drop fell upon us with a great force today. We only warmed up into the low 40s in Central Park. In Monticello, the temps hovered in the lower 30s -- so they will start off as snow and most likely remain as snow the longest.

Not much will accumulate tonight, but a slick, icy layer will form and make for tough travel tonight and especially early morning.

However, rain will overtake everything and it will come down hard & fast. Expect 1-2 inches of rain for some and little flooding could be possible by midday. Check in soon for this first taste of winter.
