Man Dies After Disturbance At NY House Party

NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) -- Police are investigating the death of a man found unconscious after a rowdy house party in the lower Hudson Valley.

Lt. Michael Clancy of Town of Newburgh police tells the Middletown Times Herald-Record that the victim died at 1 a.m. Sunday at St. Lukes Hospital in Cornwall. He was found unconscious by police responding to several 911 calls about a raucous house party.

The victim's name wasn't immediately released. He was described as a Newburgh man in his late 20s. Details about the cause of death weren't released.

Clancy said witnesses were at first reluctant to talk to police but later became more cooperative.
