Hive with over 25,000 bees removed from traffic light in Flatiron District

NEW YORK -- Bees stopped traffic in the Flatiron District on Saturday.

Pedestrians reported them buzzing around near East 20th Street and Broadway.

It turned out the bees had taken up residence in a stop light.

The street had to be closed off as firefighters brought in a beekeeper, who removed the hive.

The beekeeper said over 25,000 bees were found.
