Runaway Peacock Returned To Owner After 3-Hour Chase On Long Island
LATTINGTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A runaway peacock is back home at its farm on Long Island.
The animal, named Pea, went missing from a farm in Lattingtown on April 19 and apparently traveled all the way into Suffolk County.
Two police officers and a sergeant from the Lloyd Harbor Police Department captured the bird Wednesday after a three-hour chase.
The officers posed for a photo, along with Pea's owner, and a woman and her son who spotted the bird outside their home in Huntington.
