Coast Guard Rescues Sick Crew Member From Fishing Boat Off Long Island
MONTAUK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- The Coast Guard came to the rescue of a crew member on board a fishing boat off Long Island on Friday night.
The rescue happened about 65 miles south of Montauk.
The crew member was sick and needed a doctor.
A Coast Guard helicopter lowered a rescuer onto the deck. Then, the 47-year-old man was lifted up in a basket.
There was no word on his condition.
