LAKE RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Long Island said a man was robbed of his cellphone while playing the popular "Pokemon Go" game.
It happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday in Lake Ronkonkoma.
The 19-year-old man was playing the game on his iPhone while walking along Lake Shore Drive when police said a gray, four-door sedan with at least three people inside pulled up alongside him.
That's when a male passenger in the front seat told the victim to hand over his cellphone, police said. When the victim hesitated, police said another passenger in the backseat pulled out a gun and demanded the phone.
The victim handed over the phone and fled.
So far, no arrests have been made.
