Westport, Conn. Police Arrest Mother After 2 Kids Found Wandering Streets
WESTPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork) - A woman is in custody after her two children were found on the streets of Westport.
Natalie Bonny's 5-year-old child was found alone at a Walgreen's on Post Road East and her 1-year-old was found near a Toyota dealership nearby, police said.
Bonny, 33, told officers she left her children home alone while she took the bus to go shopping, police said.
Bonny was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
The Department of Children and Families is investigating the incident.
