Jets Reportedly Schedule Visit For Wideout Donnie Avery
NEW YORK (WFAN) - The Jets have expressed interest in free-agent wide receiver Donnie Avery, and have scheduled a visit for him, according to NFL reporter Adam Caplan.
Avery, who was drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft by the Rams, had a very productive couple of seasons to begin his career.
The 27-year-old caught 100 balls for 1,263 yards and eight touchdowns before tearing his ACL in 2010.
As a member of the Titans last season, Avery had just three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in eight games.
After last season's disappointing offensive output, Gang Green is looking to add an impact wide receiver this offseason.
Jets fans, could Donnie Avery be a hidden gem for Gang Green?
