NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery joined Benigno & Roberts on Tuesday to discuss Sunday's huge upset win over the New England Patriots, and sets the record straight on Deion Branch's "classless" comments.
"It was definitely a situation where we wanted to go out and show that were were a better team than what we displayed in the Monday night game, where we got beat, 45-3," Cotchery said. I think every guy had on their hearts and minds, we wanted to out there and display that for everybody to see, and I definitely had that on my heart and mind as well."
On his pivotal 58-yard catch-and-run play late in the fourth quarter:
"Mark just did a great job of being on the same page with what I was doing," said the Jets' wide receiver. "He read me, he gave me the ball, and after that I just tried to make a play."
On Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch's post game comments, where he called the Jets "classless" for their on-field celebrations:
"I'm not sure who he was talking about, I would have been more comfortable if he would have named names," said Cotchery. "I didn't see any guys that were classless, I saw a lot of guys that were celebrating a great victory over a division rival."
