1/17 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Good afternoon! Clouds have quickly moved back in as a low pressure system moves by off the coast. The bulk of the precip will remain offshore, but expect some light snow showers mainly south and east of the city. As an arctic front approaches this evening, scattered snow showers for all tonight and into tomorrow.
The bigger story will be the drastic temp change! After hitting the low 50s yesterday, we'll struggle to get into the upper 20s Monday and Tuesday. Scattered flurries through the day with gusty northwest winds. The wind chills out the door Monday and Tuesday morning will be near zero for many and only feeling like the teens during the day, as winds gust to 40 mph at times.
After that, temps moderate back into the mid and upper 30s for the remainder of the week. Looking ahead, the models have been trending toward a chance for some snow next weekend. Still a ways out, so we'll keep an eye on it.
Have a good one!
