Nassau Police: Man Gets Stuck In Conveyor Belt, Dies
OCEANSIDE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man has died in an industrial accident at a Long Island recycling business, police said.
According to police, a 40-year-old man became stuck in a conveyor belt while working at concrete recycler IROC Industries, on New Street in Oceanside.
The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene at around 11:37 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Police did not immediately identify the victim.
There were no reports of prior accidents at the business, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
