Human Cannonball Preps For Big Show In Westchester
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? How about watching people shoot out of cannons in Westchester County.
The silver cannon is getting all polished up and the human cannonball, 26-year-old Shawn Marren, is doublechecking the mechanics.
For the first time here in White Plains, the Royal Hanneford Circus will have a human cannon ball.
WCBS 880 Reporter Catherine Cioffi talks with the human cannon ball.

"It's not easy, especially when you are doing it three times a day. That's taxing. That's a lot of shots," said Marren.
But Marren, who is actually a trained musician, tells WCBS 880 Reporter Catherine Cioffi that being shot 80 feet through the air at 60 m.p.h is an incredible rush, but feels like you are hit by a bus.
"When you stand up and you see the audience and go...'oh cool, I'm still walking. I did it'," said Marren.
This father of two says he does it to provide for his family.
"I'm just a normal guy who does an extraordinary job I guess," Marren.
