Heat Advisory Issued For New York City
NEW YORK (CBS New York/AP) -- The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for New York City until 8 p.m.

The heat index, which factors in the humidity, could reach 100 on Thursday.
The health department and emergency management office say cooling centers will be open as the heat index climbs.
The city says air conditioned public buildings will be open to visitors during business hours.
The weather service says temperatures could be above average again this month.
The city says more than 228,000 people have visited cooling centers this summer since the first heat wave in June.
