Port Authority Holds Emergency Drill On Goethals Bridge
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Drivers who take the Goethals Bridge ran into detours Sunday morning.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey held an emergency drill, closing the span from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m.
As part of the drill, there were road detours in Elizabeth, New Jersey, CBS2 reported.
The exercise helped test emergency preparedness for tunnel and bridge agents as well as local first responders.
