Giants Fans Ecstatic After NFC Title Win

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Giants fans were ecstatic after their team beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 to advance to the Super Bowl.

Francisco Montesino, a 32-year-old bus driver from Brooklyn, started jumping for joy when Lawrence Tynes kicked the winning field goal in sudden-death overtime in the NFC championship Sunday night in San Francisco. Montesino was watching the game at a bar in midtown Manhattan. He called the game "awesome."

Sam Van Saint, a 30-year-old actor from New York, said the game was perfect and met all expectations of a playoff game.

The Giants will face the Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis, just as they did when they won it in 2008.

Earlier Sunday, the Patriots beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 in the AFC championship game.
