Eye on Politics: Interviews With New Jersey's U.S. Senate Candidates

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Election Day is November 6 and New Jerseyans may end up picking a new U.S. Senator or sticking with the one they have right now.

Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez is being challenged by Republican St. Sen. Joe Kyrillos.

Menendez has served in the U.S. Senate since 2006 and served in the U.S. House of Representatives before that. Kyrillos has served in the New Jersey State Senate since 1992. Prior to that, he served in the State Assembly.

WCBS 880's Steve Scott spoke with both candidates for his daily Eye on Politics segment.

The two differ on what to do about the nation's deficit, and even what caused it.
