Giants' Diehl On WFAN: Turnovers Key To Slide

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) -- Giants left tackle David Diehl joined Boomer & Carton Tuesday morning to talk about New York's struggles, costly turnovers, and the NFC playoff picture.

On his ailing hip and hamstring, injured in a win over Seattle three weeks ago:

"I'm feeling a lot better," Diehl said Tuesday. "Name a type of treatment, I've been trying to do it for my hamstring."

On the Giants' Sunday night 27-17 loss to Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles:

"It was very disappointing. To lose to a team in the division with a lot at stake, the lead in the NFC East," said Diehl. "I think our defense played extremely well against Michael Vick."

On the Giants' offensive struggles:

"Our offense, too many ups-and-downs. We've got to realize that you can't shoot yourself in the foot with turnovers, which we got away with a little earlier in the season," said the Giants' tackle.

"For us to be sitting at second in the league with turnovers, it's definitely disappointed us. If you were looking from the outside in, and you just looked at the turnovers, you wouldn't think that this is a 6-4 team."

On the NFL playoff picture:

"Looking at the NFC, I don't see a 10-6 team making the playoffs."
