Mayor's Office: De Blasio's Hernia Surgery Is Successful
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Mayor Bill de Blasio was resting at the Gracie Mansion Friday evening, after undergoing successful hernia surgery.
The Mayor's office announced on Thursday that de Blasio would not be conducting official business at City Hall on Friday due to the surgery.
Spokeswoman Karen Hinton said the hernia developed recently.
The mayor will not have a public schedule over the weekend, but will be back at City Hall on Monday morning, his office said.
