Cuomo Names Economic Advisers, Transition Team

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Democratic Gov.-elect Andrew Cuomo has chosen his running mate to chair his transition team and established a council of economic advisers.

With Lt. Gov.-elect Robert Duffy directing the transition from Gov. David Paterson's administration this year, Cuomo says others on the team are Rep. Nydia Velazquez of New York City, Republican Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney, former state Comptroller Carl McCall and former Municipal Assistance Corp. Chairman Felix Rohatyn.

Advisers on fiscal issues include state Business Council President Ken Adams, former Avis chief executive and ex-state Republican chairman Pat Barrett, New York State AFL-CIO President Denis Hughes, American

Express Chairman Kenneth Chenault and Ken Langone, chairman of Invemed Associates.
