Cooking On The Couch: Fettuccine Alfredo

It may seem easy to make, but whipping up a traditional Fettuccine Alfredo isn't just about the butter and cheese.

To show us how to get it just right, we called in a master. Russell Bellanca, owner of the Alfredo of Rome restaurant in Manhattan, visited us on The Couch to give us the scoop.

Here's a fun (maybe) fact about the dish: Fettuccine Alfredo was first created by Alfredo di Lelio because his wife lost her appetite after childbirth.  He went into the kitchen and mixed egg noodles with butter and Parmigiano-Reggiano and restored her appetite. The rest is history.
