Commissioner Kelly Upset That NYPD Wasn't Briefed On Underwear Bomb Plot

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The commissioner of the NYPD is calling out federal officials for not briefing New York's finest on the latest underwear bomb plot.

Commissioner Ray Kelly said that the NYPD still does not have specifics from the federal agencies involved about the underwear bomb. Reports claim that it has no metal parts and an improved detonator.

"We'd like to know the materials used, where those materials may be obtained and the shape and size of the device," Kelly told WCBS 880's Rich Lamb.

Kelly added that it's the type of information that officers want and deserve as the nation's biggest target.
