Police Investigate Reports Of Armed Person On Colgate University Campus
HAMILTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in upstate New York searched for someone believed to be armed on the campus of Colgate University for several hours Monday evening.
Authorities say there were no reports of any shots fired.
Earlier Monday evening, the university tweeted warnings for students to remain indoors as they searched for an armed person in the Coop, the school's campus center.
Just before midnight, the university tweeted that New York State Police issued an all clear as authorities remained on campus to wrap up their investigation.
