Central Park Stiletto Sprint Benefits Charity
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Find it difficult to walk in high heels? Try running in them.
The Annual High-Heel-A-Thon, a 150-yard dash for charity, took place in Central Park Wednesday morning.

The event aired live on Live! With Regis & Kelly Wednesday morning.
1010 WINS Reporter Terry Sheridan was in the Park for the action, where men and women alike participated.
"I think it's great, I give them a lot of credit," one female bystander said. "I consider myself a pretty good athlete and I can't run in heels."
And not just any heels. Runners were given a list of criteria for their footwear to meet in order to qualify. The shoes had to be at least 3 inches high, and less than 3 inches in circumference on the bottom.
"The higher the better," said one participant.
Proceeds benefit The Heart Truth campaign for womens heart health and education and research.
