Brooklyn Woman Says Man Threw Caustic Liquid In Her Face
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Brooklyn woman was living in fear this week after a man threw a dangerous liquid in her face.
Lena Diftler, 74, said a former neighbor attacked her with an unknown substance outside her Bay Parkway apartment last Wednesday.
She said the liquid caused burning and severe pain.
"It was Clorox with water in it. It was Clorox, definitely, because I had to throw my coat out and my jacket," Diftler told CBS2's Tracee Carrasco on Thursday. "It was Clorox. In my eye was Clorox. It smelled. It smelled when it came. And the ambulance came. They came upstairs, and they put water in my eyes."
Diftler said the man had been stalking her for years.
As of Thursday night, he was still on the run.
