Bronx Man Fatally Shot Through Door Of His Apartment
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Bronx man has died after 14 shots were fired through the door of his apartment Monday night.
Police found 35-year-old Rashaun Ahart with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest in his apartment building on Creston Avenue in Fordham Heights shortly before 9 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police believe he was targeted, but a motive is unclear, 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck reported.
A woman, who said she was a longtime friend, said the victim has a long criminal history but was turning his life around.
"He loved his child, that's all he lived for is his child," she said. "He turned his life around for his family. He's a good, young man."
No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
