NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in the Bronx are looking for three suspects who they said forced their way into a home and tied up a family before making off with thousands of dollars and other items.

It happened back on June 28 at a building on Morris Avenue.

Police said three men forced their way into an apartment and threatened five family members inside with a gun. They then put the victims on the floor of a bedroom before tying them up with zip-ties, police said.

The suspects then ransacked the apartment and took off with $3,900 in cash, a personal safe and three cell phone, police said.

None of the victims were hurt.

Police describe the suspects as black men in their 30s. One was about 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. Another was about 6-feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. The third suspect was about 5-feet-8-inches tall and 150 pounds.

Investigators released a surveillance photo of two of the suspects.
