Bronx Fire Leaves Woman, 60, Dead
BRONX, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- A Bronx residential fire killed a woman early Saturday morning.
At 1:23 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a fire at 2717 Gifford Ave. in the Schuylerville area.
Responding officers from the 45 Precinct and firefighters found Johanna Parliament unconscious and unresponsive. EMS took Parliament to Jacobi Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of death is pending investigation by the Medical Examiner and no criminality is suspected at this time.
Parliament was 60 years old.
