9-Year-Old Boy Dragged By L Train In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 9-year-old boy broke both his legs when he slipped between a subway platform and train Sunday in Brooklyn.

Police said the boy fell shortly after 1 p.m. at the Atlantic Avenue L train station in East New York.

He was dragged a short way before the train came to a stop.

Canarsie-bound L train service was disrupted for about two hours, but has since been restored.

The boy was taken to  NYC Health+Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.
