Mark Sanchez last started a football game way back in 2012 for the Jets, which ended with a 28-9 loss to the Bills up in Buffalo.
Well last night the 27-year-old signal caller got the call to start in the Philly against the Panthers and certainly made the most of it, leading the Eagles to a 45-21 win, and because of that people are talking.
Boomer was in the City of Brotherly Love calling the game on Westwood One Radio - along with the ever-descriptive Kevin Harlan - and the Blonde Bomber doesn't ever recall the 'Sanchize' playing like that as a member of the Jets. A footnote to the feelgood story in Philadelphia, when the clock struck midnight, Sanchez turned 28. One has to wonder how he might have celebrated.
So Boomer, together with his radio partner and BFF Craigie, got this Tuesday morning radio party started with the football, but didn't exclude the Knicks after they lost to the Hawks for the second straight game, have lost five in a row and have a record of 2-6. All of that has Craig calling for changes, beginning with the 'Triangle Offense.'
All of that and the Mets did some spending, inking veteran outfielder Michael Cuddyer to a two-year deal, which has been met with differing degrees of acceptance.
And away we go - away we go...
